Nice TDK Blu Ray: Accessories and consumables

So far I haven't had any problems with any of the TDK Blu-ray discs. This is my permanent disc after first trying it on a rewritable disc which I recommend for burning to Blu-ray. The price of TDK rims is actually quite good compared to others and the quality is very good. So far there haven't been any issues with TDK, so I think I'll stick with this brand for a while. All in all a fantastic price and value for what you can bet on it.

This was my favorite BD-R media

This Blu-ray BD-R from TDK was my favorite but it turned out to be very expensive when I used more than one disc for my wedding video client must create . I prefer the new DIGISTOR brand BD-R Blu-ray media, available here at Revain, which is priced at around $1.95 for a disc on a 25-pack spindle. The 4x write speed is perfect for my 10 minute Blu-ray videos through Adobe Encore CS4.

Pros
  • Blank media
Cons
  • Good but not great

I used Roxio Create 8.2 XE (along with a Lacie Blu-ray burner). Everything went very smoothly, but it took a VERY VERY LONG time (like hours to write 23GB of data). I'm not interested in filming, so I didn't test it. I'm interested in permanent, write-once backups of large amounts of data (e.g. my iTunes MP3 collection). make sure I…
