After comparing to many other bags I bought this bag to store and transport my Spartan 3/4 sewing machine which does not have a hard case. It will also fit a Singer 99. The bag is a little larger than I expected for this particular car, but I've added some padding around the car. The bag itself is wonderful, durable and attractive. I am happy with this purchase.

I thought the tote bag would be a good modern alternative to the traditional hard case for my new sewing machine, but it doesn't hold up at all. It has a bit of padding otherwise I might as well put my car in a reusable tote bag with the same result. I opened it up to try but never thought my machine would be protected. Obviously it's coming back. I just take the conventional hard case.

I loved this bag. However, after receiving and inspecting it, I found that the handles easily detach from the bag, meaning that with minimal use it will tear very soon. The outside of the bag is beautiful. Looks the same as in the photos. The inside too, but all the seams were uneven and the entire hem was sticking out where it had been cut unevenly. Overall this is a well designed, reasonably priced and well made bag. However, since it is recommended as a carrier for a sewing machine, it needs to have some sort of rigid insert for the bottom of the bag. As I type, my husband cuts this base out of 1/4" plywood in the workshop. I bought this bag so I could carry either my large electronic spinning machine, Brother sewing machine, or felting machine, depending on my needs. this sewing machine bag looks like a cooler bag with a padded lining sewn in - and probably just as strong. ADVANTAGES: convenient use of pockets. For example, the front zip pocket folds down completely for easy access. like a shoulder strap to carry. my machine isn't there yet (portable, nowhere near as big and heavy as my janome workhorse), but judging by the machine's dimensions it should fit in easily. nice addition to the rear opening so you can use it with a trolley bag.
