Doesn't work for me with cables and connectors

Cable quality and bend are perfect I have an MSI Godlike x570 board and wanted to clean up my build with it and my main use case was that I plugged my phone in many times connected to the computer to transfer files back and forth but i kept getting a message saying there was a problem with my device when i plugged it directly into the cable but every other port worked so disappointed because i am currently got another brand of the same cable today and everything works as it should so i don't…

The low profile met my needs - cut the notch first!

I needed a low profile extension for my motherboard's USB 3.0 port and this did exactly what I needed. My main issue is the construction due to the hard plastic wrap around the fork end. This covers the notch that most USB cables have and the first time I tried to plug in an extension cord it ended up with bent pins because the notch didn't match. Luckily there are two packs so I took a razor blade and cut a notch in the plastic sleeve. That worked great for me.

Pros
  • Length (including connectors): 6 inches. black ribbon cable. Transfer rates up to 5 Gbps
Cons
  • Something different

Good USB 3.0 Extender

The connectors on my motherboard are right angle and the standard front panel cables were too stiff to bend to connect. They're flexible enough to get the job done properly, and the black hides better than the blue on standard cables. I had no problems with unplugging the plug from the outlet. I just made sure they were seated securely and stayed in place while I did the wiring. A clamp would be nice to lock it securely instead of just friction. I used both cables and after installation all…

  • Male 1-pin Small Mini USB 3.0 Male 19/20-pin
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Only one of the two cables works.

I was hoping to use these in combination with a PCI-e card and patch cords that don't reach the back corner where the card fits. Unfortunately only one worked. The male portion (which houses the pins) is narrower than the typical blue connector that comes with USB 3 cables, meaning extra care is needed not to bend the pins when connecting. There is a notch on the female end that should be there to indicate that you don't know where the plug goes, so you'll need to look carefully to make sure…
