Based on my experience these magnetic lobster clasps are a game changer for my arts and crafts projects. Magnet diameter 3 mm

Lightweight clasp for lighter necklaces or bracelets. In the first photo, the magnet is inside, the diameter is about 3mm. In the second photo total length = 3 cm, about 1 1/4 inches. I received 10 pairs.
