Description of TEKTON Drive 6 Point Socket SHD02115

6-point socket opening provides an ideal, exact fit for hex-shaped fastener heads. Socket geometry is designed to apply force to flat sides of fasteners and not the corners, preventing round-off. Standard-length socket is relatively versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications. Extra-large die-stamped size markings are easy to read and can’t wear off. Polished, chrome-plated finish easily wipes clean and is highly resistant to corrosion. Four detent grooves provide a secure connection with the drive tool. Beveled inner rim of the socket opening helps guide it smoothly onto fasteners. Overall Socket Length: 0.98 in. Socket End Diameter: 0.82 in. Drive End Diameter: 0.82 in. Socket Well Depth: 0.53 in.

Sturdy Socket for Easy Car Maintenance

When i tried this tool I was impressed with how strong and durable it felt as I worked on my car. The 6-point design made it easy to fit onto bolts without slipping, saving me time and frustration .The only downside is the lack of a non-slip grip on the handle. Overall, a great addition to any car tool kit..

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting due to its chrome-plated finish that resists corrosion
Cons
  • Incompatible with non-metric size bolts and nuts

Faulty Socket Woes - my new review

As an automotive mechanic, i am always on the lookout for reliable hand tools. Unfortunately, this product fell far short of my expectations. The socket wore out after just a few uses and failed to grip tightly onto bolts. It was frustrating and time-consuming to have to constantly switch sockets during a repair..

Pros
  • Pro: None
Cons
  • Con: Flimsy and unreliable.
