Works well. Use my portable radio attached to my sand.

Works well. Use my portable radio attached to my sand rail to communicate in the desert without worrying about a dead battery.

1 amp fuse does not fit

First time use in my FT60 and the included 1 amp fuse blew . Replaced the fuse with 4 amps and checked the current draw during transmission with a multimeter: 1.5 amps. Otherwise the part seems to be working as intended. Next week it will be used for network management and report any other problems.

Cons
  • Almost everything is there

The cable on the back allows the radio to stand normally.

When I first started installing it fell apart but snapped back into place and the clip holding it to the radio also prevents it from moving solves again. I had a different model of battery rectifier but the wire came out at the bottom making it impossible to withstand the radio normally. It has a cable running from the back of the battery rectifier so the base is flat and the radio can stand up nicely. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the lightweight design. I would also like to see a…
