TeraFlex 1912092 Antenna Mount Passenger Review

Dear stock item, used item like new but low price. I always shop earlier in the warehouse than anywhere else. That's exactly what I wanted.

This is the way to go! 102" pin, spring and 18' coax cable. Ground all holes for proper grounding and 1:1 SWR on Uniden 980 ssb.

Excellent product. I had to make small changes to the top mount. I hope there will be no problems after installing the soft top in the fall.

Very impressed with the thickness of the metal! It was a little tricky mounting my antenna behind my tail light but this thing is 8g steel and holds my fire tube well and helps keep my coax from breaking on the freeway! Love it!

Great fit and very strong. Connected straight away with no problems. Had to open up one of the larger holes to fit the Right Channel Radios heavy duty pen in there but it had plenty of free space and I use it with this pen, quill and 4' FireStik. No problem and we drive very aggressive trails with our Jeep TJ.

I installed this on my Jeep TJ tail light. It works great! This one didn't look like the photo - it had more than one hole to fit more than one radio (HAM anyone?). I found this a pleasant surprise. It's also angled to try and position it closer to the corner of the car than the back. I chose the passenger side mount because I didn't want to see it upside down in the mirror.

Good product for the most part a few things to know. You have to drill a hole in your jeep to stabilize it. DO NOT rely solely on the taillight mounting screws when drilling. With an antenna there is a lot of stress on these screws and they weren't designed for that use I would also recommend using a spring mount for more flexibility. Overall I am happy with this mount. Well made, holes match. According to the instructions, you need to drill an extra hole in your jeep's tank. This can be an issue for some people, but the mount moves too much without the support screw. If I could do it again I'd probably buy a driver's side mount as it's easier to route the coax cable through the taillight grommet and into the cabin.
