Men's 100% silk tights

After reading a ski instructor's review I thought it might be worth a try but another reviewer was right they were too thin. I can't seem to find any medium or even lightweight 100% silk underwear since WinterSilks went out of business. This Terramar is sheer, really only tights for men.

Terramar does not respond to emails about a poor quality product

Although I ordered a size that allows for extra room, the crotch of my long silk underwear ripped a few days after wearing it. Two months ago I emailed Terramar for help and still haven't received a response. It means the product is of poor quality and the company is ignoring their customers. Avoid at all costs.

Great except for the cost

I wear them at night when I go camping to keep my sweaty feet from sticking to my sleeping bag. Pooh! However, they work well. You are not too hot. I was in turmoil when my wife washed some clothes during our PKT hike and came back with everything but these leggings. I looked everywhere but couldn't find it so I had to order a new pair. I couldn't sleep well until I got a new pair.

Great for Hiking - Tested on the John Muir Trail - Lightweight - Comfortable

I used these thermosealed pants on a recent hike on the John Muir Trail. They are thinner than other long underwear. They are very light, about 3.5 ounces. These thermal silk pants are perfect for sleeping in and adding extra warmth at night. Thermal silk pants are so thin I wouldn't wear them in public, but then again, I wouldn't wear underwear in public. I would wash my pants carefully because they are thin. Great addition to my hiking gear and makes my backpack a little lighter.

As good as the original 10 years ago

A very good product that works well in place of the traditional cotton or wool blend long underwear. Very smooth and flat seams are particularly important. There is no "sawing effect" on the skin. I use it when actively hiking in the dead of winter with temperatures in extreme cold and deep snow. Machine wash on gentle cycle, tumble dry on low heat or dry off heat. The XL sizing was generous for a 230 lb frame and 6'0" height. Definitely long enough to reach the toe of the boot. I bought this…

UNTENABLE! START BREAKING IN 1 MONTH!

I bought these silk briefs after reading the positive reviews. Fits perfectly. It is very comfortable. It hugs my legs and doesn't sag. Most importantly, it kept me warm. However, after a month of wearing it started to break. Is that supposed to happen with silk panties that you don't have to wear often? I bought them on December 22nd and today is January 24th, they look like they have been worn for years! HAHA! I can't give them more than an excellent rating, these pants are comfortable but…

Tights are good for men

This product fits well. When I called, customer service for this product was helpful. I have been satisfied with Terramar products in the past. My problem with this product consists of three parts. 1) This product is really comfortable to wear. The problem is that this ThermaSilk product is so loose that even wearing two tops at the same time almost "see through" the product. This product also offers little to no thermal protection. It may have some value as a "base layer"; However, I did not…

Silk is the only fabric one can own. Terramar - never disappoints

Edit: Just ordered another pair to start the ski season. I'm a professional ski instructor, so good long underwear is vital to me. This is the fourth Terramar panty I own. The only pair of long johns I liked better was the silk-angora blend "angostar”, which was discontinued in the early '80s. There are all these polyester underwear blends that get a lot of attention from marketers, but NONE of them compares to silk. Currently, silk is the best of them. Silk is good because it warms you in the…

Best Silk Fit I've Ever Found

Longevity If you've never tried silk underwear, you need to be warned. Durability is not a strength. Even the finest silk underwear compromises durability in order to achieve high performance. If you agree to this compromise, you're getting the best clothing for a variety of situations, but you're only getting something that will last one to three seasons of moderate use before holes and tears appear. If you're on a tight budget and can't handle the harsh cold and extreme temperature swings…
