A great idea! via standard sockets

Pros: Easy to installDouble socketsUSB ports Easy to use Cons: None What I have in the box: 1 THEOUTLET outlet 2 instruction manuals I think this HEOUTLET Outlet product is brilliant. Instead of adding an extension cord, waste your outlet on a USB adapter. You can open the outlet to double it if needed. All of this comes in a standard single box. I simply removed the existing outlet and installed this in its place. Works perfectly as advertised. I could not find any guarantees in the product…

Will not fit 1968 metal boxes with 2-wire configuration

Fatal Error: Will not fit older single-fit metal boxes (which measure exactly 3"x 2"), although the instructions claim that they fit on 3" x 2" boxes (my house was built in 1968). Note that even if The Outlet somehow fitted the sides, the current boxes wouldn't be deep enough due to my 2-wire black and 2-wire red wiring configuration. In two separate rooms, when I realized neither box would fit, I checked to see if it would *work*. After turning the switches back on, they worked fine, but they…

More Power: TheOUTlet USB by Secret Sockets Review
