Super soft, very warm. The only reason I call that is because they slide a little on the shins. Maybe they should have gotten an A because my husband is very thin.

I like the thickness because it allows my foot to fit in rubber boots. I have size 8 wellies, but there are no half sizes. My shoe size is 7.5. In addition, wool is a heat-insulating fabric to retain heat and protect against moisture.

Bought for my bodybuilder friend for his work boots. He has large calves and his socks are slightly higher than hers, but close-fitting. These socks aren't as tall as the Wolverine Tall work boot socks (just in case you're used to that). He liked their feel, their beautiful material and their warmth.

Bought a pair last year works very well. Has worked in weather for over 50 years, best I have found. I recently bought two more pairs and found that one new pair is three inches longer than the other new pair. Compared to the original pair and three inches longer. Still works for me.

Excellent product. I used these socks on a winter hike. It was cold but these socks made a difference. I'm glad I bought them and will definitely buy an extra pair next time. They keep your feet warm and are very comfortable. They feel like they are of good quality. Highly recommended for those who are looking for comfortable and warm socks in cold winter.

I needed socks for my 17 inch snake print boots. I bought two pairs; one covers part of my calf, and this pair goes up to my knee - perfect and doesn't slip. The wool is soft and medium density and they are very warm, especially in summer. I can't say how well they wear. Reinforcement in wear areas (heel and toe) so we'll see.

Very soft and comfortable. However, they only come in one size - oversized - if you have smaller feet. Apparently the company doesn't understand that feet come in MANY sizes. Socks also don't do the simplest job of staying awake. On the first day of wearing, these stockings would not stay in place above the lower leg. Fail. Comfort is good but I threw them away after first use as I need socks that fit and don't wrinkle. It's not like this.

I'll be honest I won't know if I LOVE these socks until we head to Fairbanks where it will be -25 at night. But for tasting them here in temperate Northern California I really like them. Yes, they are incredibly soft. Yes, they are surprisingly warm, but not too warm. And yes, I was surprised when I realized how comfortable knee socks are in cool weather. It's been years since I've worn knee socks and keeping your calves warm along with your toes seems like a great new discovery. General body…
