There really is a lot in this small amount! My husband says he keeps the food very hot. I pour in boiling water and let it steep before pouring out and putting in everything I prepared for dinner. Good price for a quality thermos. Don't let the looks fool you, it's a lot more durable than you think. The only thing I would change is the hole. I wish it was a little bit more.
