When I first used them they leaked around the lid. Poor lid design made from cheap plastic. My wife found some new old Aladdin mugs at Goodwill and they never leaked. Aladdin is something I had for many years and then one day it hit me full of coffee and cracks. Unfortunately, the company that bought Aladdin redesigned the lids and they don't leak well. This is my second order of these mugs. Its polyurethane foam insulation keeps hot things hot and cold things cold. I can fill them with ice and water in the evening and still see floating ice in the morning. As much as I love her, there are a few things you need to know. The attachment of the handle to the cup is not very strong. If the mug falls off the frame and accidentally lands directly on the handle, it "breaks". I call it adult spill-proof cups. I got the first one because my office was at the top of a spiral staircase and I was afraid of spilling my coffee or soda on the way up. I fell in love with it and bought more because it keeps drinks hot for a long time - great for keeping ice water by the bed (and the lid keeps me from pouring ice water over myself when I'm drinking in bed).
