Nice Image - Barware and Drinkware

They have a nice image on the front but are not absorbent at all. I need a paper towel or other paper product underneath so my cups/mugs don't get stuck and take the whole coaster with me. I like that the coasters are navy. I bought a stand for bamboo coasters but because I wasn't careful they were too big. They're good if you only have water or something that doesn't sweat.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No Instructions

I would return them but it wasn't worth the hassle. They don't look like the old Thirstystone coasters that could be relied upon to absorb moisture dripping from the glass. With them, water collects on the top of the coaster, and because they are so light, the coaster will stick to your glass and sometimes fall on the floor or knees. The coasters are cute, but their functionality is definitely disappointing!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

It's cork, not sandstone

When I was looking for coasters, I really wanted an absorbent stone. So I went to Thirstystone and remembered the ones my mother had. To my surprise and disappointment, these coasters are made out of non-absorbent cork. I have to take some of the blame for not reading the full description. I assumed Thirstystone were still making quality sandstone coasters. I didn't know they used their name to expand. When I saw the cork in the description I assumed (my fault) that it was a thin layer of cork…

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • New competition is here
