I bought leather belts but lately I've had some short life belts. I hate the lack of adjustability with a standard die-cut strap, and my braided straps wear out quickly where the buckle intrudes most often. I liked this design because I can go through the Sally Port scanner without removing the strap (no metal) and I can easily adjust to any tension level without wearing out the strap. It's not trendy, but what it lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in practicality.

yes the other reviewers are right - the straps twist too easily (in a narrow direction as if trying to turn into a rope instead of a belt). After wearing it once, it was clearly deformed. Too bad - the buckle is good quality and the brown color is the best of any brown belt of this type I've tried (unlike the wider "military" version of this belt which is more typically "milk chocolate brown") - it is deeper, dark brown with a slight olive tint.
