I love these boxes. Socket boxes

I have now purchased and installed 3 of these boxes. I love these boxes. They are not very difficult to install and give a nice look to a wall mounted TV. Offers many options for all types of connections.

Pros
  • Fits in a 2" x 4" wall frame
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Works well but requires HDMI corner brackets

Easy to install. A small problem installing the A/V connectors. Since the mounting wall is a standard 2x4 frame, I had to use HDMI corner brackets. Otherwise, the HDMI connectors and cables will not fit in the wall. I would also recommend installing and removing the outlet and A/V connections before wall mounting the box. The holes for the power outlet and the A/V connectors are unthreaded.

Pros
  • Paintable to match your decor
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Not bad with one caveat

Nice built in box, with one caveat. It actually fits easily with just a layer of 1/2 inch drywall. Since the electrical box exits at an angle on the side (blue box in the picture), the gap between the edge of the box and the front is limited. So if you have something like old stucco with new drywall on top (which is not uncommon in older homes), or even just thick stucco and batten wall, then it will take some work to cut that side of the hole to make it fit. Not impossible as the entire hole…

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Can't remember
