🌡️ Thomas Immersion Thermometer – A Versatile General-Purpose Device for Accurate Temperature Measurement Review

I hooked up a VDO oil temp sensor to my 1974 Moto Guzzi Eldorado. I have several "sensors" and I checked the accuracy of the pressure gauge by dipping the thermometer into the engine oil. The thermometer is accurate at room temperature and an engine oil temperature of 200*. The only downside is that it is very fragile, but this glass tube is much more sensitive than any metal meat thermometer.

The product looks like it would suit my project but both thermometers in my order arrived broken. Very little packaging material in the box - if you look at reviews of glass thermometers you will see this complaint over and over again. Revain needs to think more about how they ship breakable items like thermometers. Keep in mind that if you need a glass thermometer, you may have to return it and wait for a replacement.

I bought this as a cheap, fairly accurate reference thermometer for measuring the outside temperature. The temperature range of -35 to 50 °C is perfect for where I live in Canada. But upon arrival from the Amazon, it was broken - cracked into 3 pieces. It came in manufacturer's clear plastic packaging that offers little protection, and Amazon offered no additional protection.
