Firmly! Accessories in Accessories

There was a small snag during the assembly process: in order to connect the right pedal to the brake sensor, I had to remove the lock nut from the ball head so the parts could align and not bind. . To position the pedal assembly in relation to my table I cut out a piece of wall board to act as a spacer to rest on the wall behind the table. My regular work chair has wheels, so when running the simulator I substitute a folding chair with sticky legs that stay in place when I use the steering…

Best on PC before buying

Before buying I found that you don't have pedals (1 axis), brakes (left and right, two axes), throttles (Z and rZ axes), JoySick (X axes) and Y), MiniStick (rX and rY axes) and throttle lever (slider axis). This adds up to 10 axes, while Windows DirectX only allows 8. If you use all available axes on the Warthog (Stick and Throttle) you already have 7. I've tried excluding TPR in TARGET but this only excludes it from the combined virtual controller. TARGET still captures it, making it…

Great replacement for my old TM RCS

After years of using my TM RCS (updated with Cubby HAL sensor) I thought it was time to buy a new kit with foot brakes (quite difficult, using the F/A -18°C on a carrier without them) and then I discovered that TM was making a new set. They're big, but I was surprised they're not heavier than they look - but they're heavy enough. I would recommend installing them on the simulator platform or cockpit if they need to stay in place. Adjustment is easy, once you've set the toe angle you're unlikely

Game Changer is good for PC

After several hours of research comparing MFG and Slavs I settled on TPR. In summary, my only regret is that I did not purchase a set of Saitek Pro pedals two weeks prior to this review. The gliding of these pedals never seemed natural to me (a private RW pilot) so I stayed away from the MFG. I immediately felt more comfortable and more immersed in TPR. After half an hour of getting used to it, I took off in a DCS Spitfire, which, as is well known, relies almost exclusively on precise rudder…

You get what you pay for.

Thrustmaster TPR swing pedals arrived and installed! I have used many mechanical, hydraulic and electronic controls on airplanes and simulators for about 45 years and these are the most realistic and comfortable simulator pedals I have ever used. They move like real pedals in the T-38 jet trainer, which due to the "drooping" geometry of the pendulum resembles most airliners and (I think) most fighter jets. They are infinitely adjustable in pitch and tension. After several deployments, I…
