Thrustmaster TPR swing pedals arrived and installed! I have used many mechanical, hydraulic and electronic controls on airplanes and simulators for about 45 years and these are the most realistic and comfortable simulator pedals I have ever used. They move like real pedals in the T-38 jet trainer, which due to the "drooping" geometry of the pendulum resembles most airliners and (I think) most fighter jets. They are infinitely adjustable in pitch and tension. After several deployments, I realized I didn't even have to think about it. they're just there, an extension of my legs. What should the oars be? They center perfectly EVERY time with no pressure. Assembly was an "easy job" requiring four hex head screws and two metric nuts with the included wrenches. Windows USB installation was plug and play with Windows 10 or additional Thrustmaster drivers. It's as simple as it gets. Problem with programming. There seems to be a bug when using Thrustmaster TARGET Script Editor scripts where the steering wheel may not be recognized when all three axes are combined by the software. This does not affect the use of the rudders in any way if left in an unprogrammed state. Windows recognizes the regular "Thrustmaster Combined" device for programming ailerons, elevators and buttons with the TARGET SE, while the rudder and toes work well as separate devices in the Windows Game Controllers window. I've read that secondary programming programs (FSUIPC, etc.) also work as expected, but I didn't need to load any of them into my simulators. Added feature: My toes can go under these pedals. There is no need to put your feet on the pedals when not in use. (Just a little less wear and tear.) Only criticism: they cost too much. (But isn't that all?) Ultimate answer: Three thumbs up!
