good to have in a pinch cheap and inexpensive. These types of connectors used to be used in a GM shop and they charged $4 each.

They are great for docking

I like these butt connectors because they have heat shrink tubing on the ends and I used them to mount a radio. They are crimped as usual, then use a heat gun to shrink the wires and solder to the terminals.

Easy to use and waterproof

I used them to install a new sound system on a boat. They were easy to install and the heat activated seal made them waterproof. Place the heat shrink tubing over the regular butt joint.

I just don't get

Now I've been driving without car navigation for 1 week waiting for these connections. Every day I check the estimated progress of this production. For the past 2 days I've watched him get further and further away. On Monday it was in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and it was supposed to be delivered the same day, no, it was supposed to be in Oklahoma City and then in Nashville. Garbage - the wire will not be crimped and will not hold, and the heat shrink material will be torn when crimped.

Scrap - Does not crimp or hold wire and shrink material breaks during crimping. I'm a licensed and certified technician who has been using crimp connectors for over 50 years and this is the first time I've had connectors this bad. I ended up going to an auto parts store and bought a pack of Dorman heat shrink connectors and they worked great.
