Can't say it seems to work and works as expected, the place I live is a valley surrounded by a mountain outside, it worked fine, it received noaa and some VHF station, but that's the only way I can put it.

Battery life is ok but for $50 I don't think you will find a better programmable radio. Does everything I need and more. The belt clip is a little flimsy so I recommend ordering a pouch/holster as well to wear on your belt.

I bought this radio for off road use with friends. It's more visual than what I used to use and feels 10x better in my hands. However, my favorite feature is that I can listen to two channels at the same time and have to press a talk button for each channel. After two full days of use, the battery is still half charged and ready for further use.

The radio did everything I expected in 5 minutes. Bad receiver, then after prolonged use and it gets warm, the display dims, you can hardly read it, I waited too long to send it back to Revain, I didn't want to worry about the warranty protocol, now the radio is sending sporadically . This is a great little radio and a great set for the price. It includes a radio, a rubber antenna (small), a large flexible antenna, a programming cable, an earpiece, a microphone with a handheld speaker, 2 batteries and a charging station. Much cheaper than buying them all individually. I made good contacts with local repeaters with both antennas and also with a magnetic antenna. I've been using it for a few months now. I'm still learning. While it's not ICOM or YEASU, it's still a quality radio and has a lot going for it. There is a learning curve to learning how to use this. The quality seems to be very good. The body is superior to anything you'll find on the UV-5R. speaker output. Easy setup with CHIRP. Like most rubber ducky antennas, this one sucks. If you have a second one, use that one or buy a better antenna for better performance. What's the best? Under $50 if

The radio seems to be ok so far, perfectly packaged, additional batteries charged 50% or more, additional antenna was in the molded radio packaging, everything declared was included. If you don't have a working programming cable don't rely on this one, it didn't work with any of my radios, once I got my Boafeng cable I was able to program the radio with no problems, the cable that came with it was stiff and seemed cheaply made. Launched a week ago on 3 local GMRS repeaters, this 8 watt radio has recently been licensed by the FCC. The individual splits and tones for the repeater are easily programmed without a PC cable. Can also be used on the 2M and 70CM ham radio bands and marine VHF channels. Programming just isn't possible. The included USB cable connects easily to the device, but will NOT work on the computer until you download a driver update. And this is from their site (the download contained a trojan which I removed prior to installation). When downloading frequencies, be prepared for many viruses and 3 trojans.
