So cool I bought a second one!

This filter is very durable and does an excellent job of blocking out the light that passes through the lens. It is easy to screw on and off and there is a thread on the front for screwing on another filter. I got a killer shot of a waterfall with this!

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • thin

Good for the price.

Works great as intended. There is a very green tint in photos so I'll have to correct it in the post. I think 3 stops is a versatile filter, but if you want to set a very slow shutter speed on a sunny day, it won't do the trick.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Reliable

Worth buying! - Accessory

There are people who are much more eloquent than me when it comes to technical details, but in practice this allowed me to open the aperture wide at midday to get long exposures. Whatever color casts it has, it's very easy to correct them in post-processing, especially if you're shooting a white balance card with your set. I've noticed no loss of sharpness and have put this filter in front of thousands of dollars worth of glass with no problems.

For the best color change go to Filters & Accessories

Excellent Light Reduction in 3 Levels However I do a lot of portrait/beauty work and have noticed significant complex color shift. See picture (left without filter, right with filter). I don't mind manually adjusting the white balance, but I'd rather have no color shift at all. All of this comes from the filter. Also, in Lightroom, adjusting one color (gray) changes the color of another hue (green). This means that the color change is not a simple fix.

Works for what it's designed for

I'm not a professional photographer and I really can't compare this to more expensive ND filters. Regardless, I've used this ND filter a few times to take long exposure shots and it seems to work pretty well. Depending on the incidence of light, there is a blue cast that can be corrected with photo software. There is a thread on the front that allows you to attach the ND filters to each other, which is nice. Overall I'm happy with the quality and now it works for me. Maybe I'll update as I…

It has a blue removal complex

Does what it's supposed to - cuts three stops of light. The thread, although aluminum, is good, the lightest of all my filters (B+W, Hoya and Tiffen) are screwed in. However, it adds a cool tint to the images that I don't like at all. It's fixable, but not that easy - it truncates different channels to varying degrees and can be adjusted to PITA in post, especially for video. It also dazzles quite a bit despite the coating. In general, I prefer my black and white filter's tint, which gives a…

Does what it should.

Good ND filter. I bought my Canon 50mm f1.8 to shoot videos. This is an absolute must-have when shooting outdoor videos with a DSLR. At a shutter speed of 1/50 (recommended 24 fps) the video will be severely overexposed by sunlight without an ND filter. This filter reduces exposure by 3 stops to make it easier for you to shoot in daylight and preserve beautiful natural colors. to things. But even at 3 feet on sunny days it does seem a bit bright. I can look for a stronger one. All in all a…

Makes a 1.2 lens really useful!

For those who, after hours of searching, are wondering if a 0.9 ND filter will fit a 1.2 lens, the answer is yes. 3 f-stops is enough (so from f-1.2 to 2.8, the point where 1.2 is really useful in broad daylight). Happy 1.2 just can't be used for its intended purpose, frankly what his purpose in life is and why people buy such things. I found out about this when my new 1.2 arrived and I was excited to go outside to check it out. I had to order and wait a few days. It's just great and opens up…

Very good build quality for the price.

Pros: - Durability: I've been using them occasionally for 3 years and they still work - Flexibility: 77mm is the filter size of the widely available Canon 24-105L and most other lenses, with the exception of the Der 24-70L II is smaller so you can use it with boost rings. Color: They don't distort colors nearly as much as other cheap NDs I've used. Vignetting at 24mm because they're not super thin, but it's obvious why I'm more annoyed than these filters. Absolutely great quality. This filter…
