Prevents unwanted ground loop current on the shield of the cable, which can cause noise and degrades picture quality. Designed to work with today's high bandwidth CATV networks. Unit comes standard with "F" type Male-Female connectors. Unique In-Line design is impedance matched to 75 ohms and is virtually transparent to all analog or digital bi-directional signals transmitted from 5MHz to 1.0 GHz. Product shows superior RF performance operating at a frequency range of 5 - 1,000 MHz. Maximum insertion loss is 1.5 dB. at 1 GHz. Robust design includes a metallic housing that provides excellent RFI shielding of > 85 dB. Housing is environmentally sealed against moisture and humidity.

Ground loop problem in AV system? - Start with this device first!

For three years I've been trying to eliminate the ground loop. I tried HumX from Ebtech. I rearranged the plugs and splitters, used the air conditioning, but nothing completely solved the problem. I was thinking of an XLR isolation transformer but decided to give it a try considering the isolation transformers cost over $200. That fixed it all

I have expensive home theater gear and recently added an Outlaw 5000x power amp to boost my Klipsch Reference Premier speakers. I noticed that as soon as I turned on the amp, a hum/static distortion came through the speakers. I checked the owner's manual and it said to check the cable line. Well after removing the cable line from the wall plate (where the cable goes straight out) the problem was gone. Instantly eliminated hum from Comcast cable

Eliminated hum immediately after installation.
