Very comfortable, especially on the arrow.

So far I really like this little remote system. Very convenient when the camera is on the boom and the AB control is very convenient. For convenience I will buy a D-tap cable. The only problem I have is that the display on the remote control is tiny. Sure, only very small (even with reading glasses)!

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Extremely disappointed

Probably the most disappointing product I have ever bought. The menu system is absolute rubbish, the motor is extremely weak until powered by a D-Tap battery (7.4V or higher), and trying to go through the 'manual calibration' process, becomes an absolute nightmare. Save yourself the headache, don't do it. don't buy it

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Damaged

Doesn't work with Xeen lenses

Seems to work fine with Sigma 18-35 but when I tried to use it with a Xeen 35mm or 50mm lens I kept getting an error message assumes it went into motor protection mode. Originally using a power adapter and micro USB, support implied it required more power and that p-tap to micro would power harder cine lenses. Ordered an extra cable and connected the V-mount battery but the same problem persisted and was eventually removed.

Requires an external power supply when using a mirrorless camera.

Excellent build quality. The wheel seems smooth. All parts are beautifully finished. Comes with some useful tools. However, if you want to use this on a mirrorless camera, you'll need to power the motor from an external battery. The chamber doesn't have enough juice to power this engine. Because of this, I haven't properly tested this system yet. I need to buy a cheese board and velcro to attach an external battery to my camera. Will update once I test this system.

It just doesn't work anymore!

Luckily I wasn't working! It just didn't work anymore. I tried manually calibrating and connecting it, but as soon as I turned on the gears to connect, it wouldn't turn on at all or started spinning itself until it hooked itself and said the motor protection tripped or something . I really need it to work so I'm hoping it's the device. I just ordered another one, but it wasn't supposed to happen. I've only had him for 2 weeks. I'm very disappointed because it worked great out of the box.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Damn good deal on follow focus levers

Cons First, the motor isn't too fast or powerful. It's not slow, but it's not fast either, you know? I had some trouble mounting it to my camera using the 15mm base rods in my rig, but using the mounting plate that came with the system I was able to screw it sideways into my small cage and it was able to get to my lens. just great in that regard. Pros: Damn cheap and damn good bang for the buck. I would recommend it unless you need a powerful engine. In this case, just use kernel-m. While…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

My rating changed. Anyone who has ever had a phone that charges via Micro USB knows how to bend the cable to charge it. It doesn't have a battery, though, so if the cord gets tangled or even vibrates incorrectly, it'll run out of power. Which really defeats the purpose of the device, which is often used for tight spaces and moving cameras. The replacement board costs $65. fail.

Doesn't work as intended and for the money

Updated Review: I gave this item 5 stars and a great review and then right after that it started causing problems whenever I needed it, it worked. I also updated the video. I contacted Tilta and they said the motor and controls are too close? The? They must be on the same camera even if they work wirelessly. In addition, the batteries suck, are quickly empty and never last for a short time in short shots. I've tried so many ways I learned from their FB group but nothing helpful. I gave up and…

Excellent wireless tracking focus

With the BMPCC4K whose autofocus system is almost useless, I found I needed a reliable way to focus my camera, be it me or someone else. Focus tracking is probably the most common way to achieve this, and wireless allows a second person to adjust focus without being too close to the camera. This Tiltamax Nucleus Nano wireless control system is probably the best. an option that I tried at a very affordable price. Most of the gadgets and tools used for cinematography are expensive and if they…
