Save your money for something better

Bought to replace an old 'identical' Timberland belt that had somehow shrunk (haha) and no longer fits me. Very disappointed with the quality of the replacement. The old belt was made of very elastic "Belting" leather with smooth edges. This was thinner, stiffer and had very rough edges. Luckily my diet works and the old belt fits again! Does the price matter even if the quality has gone down?

Pros
  • Buckle closure
Cons
  • No color required

I like the belt, fits men

I like the belt. Size 36 belt, that's how I always measure my belts. This belt says 36 but appears to be a larger size 38 belt. I can still use it but when I wear it it has more belts than I would like. quality seems good. I am ordering a 40mm belt in brown for a size 34 and it is a bit short but still wearable. The measurements on the belts appear to be wrong.

Pros
  • Size: 1.25 inches wide, order 1 size up than your pant size for a better fit
Cons
  • Some cons

Fake accessories in belts

First of all I would like to say that the negative reviewers were actually right. This is one of the worst belts I have ever seen. I knew right away that this is not a real Timberland belt, they make way better quality than this one. The material is so thin and flimsy it almost feels like machinable plastic or something. I put it next to a genuine Timberland leather belt I have and you can see a noticeable difference. Also, the gauge is off. My old Timberland belt in the picture below is a size

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Poor quality good for men

Hi the Timberline Dark belt looked good online but even though it says 'Timberland' on it and the logo is stamped I'm not sure of the authenticity I go to china 3 times a month so i have seen my fair share of fakes. The leather is not very thin, the color is a much lighter brown (see attached image) than the 'dark brown' advertised and shown, and after 5 hours of use with pants during the lunch hour, the color of the belt under a belt loop is completely worn. The price was low so I bought it…

Very good. but ONLY if you put some work into it

When I unpacked it my first thought was that I had made a mistake. This is "real leather" which is actually one of the lowest grades of leather. It felt strong but extremely stiff and my first thought was that I would hate to wear this piece. So I put in some effort. I heated the belt with a heater (to stretch and loosen the leather a bit) and applied leather conditioner a couple of times. Spent probably about 20-30 minutes on everything AC related. It's a lot of time, but I did it when I saw…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Excellent belt, correct appearance

I usually wear a 1.5 bridle leather belt with jeans. But lately it seems to be too wide. I think for 2018-19 the thinner 1.25 looks more normal. This is exactly what I wanted: hard leather, snaffle style. I ended up buying black and dark brown because they look so good. NOTE: A review mentioned that this is not a genuine Timberland product. Another thing is that it was multi-layered skin. My experience is different. See attached photo. SECOND NOTE: 10/2020 and I bought the 2nd belt (2nd photo).

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • protection
