Strong, durable boots

My first reaction was that they should be over 6 inches. I felt like I was wearing an 8 inch or even a 10 inch boot. The ankle support is very strong. You wouldn't go hiking in these boots. They're just damn strong. However, if you work in the field, in industrial areas, or anywhere you need reliable protection for your feet, these are your boots. I mean waterproof, steel toe cap, tireless outsole. What allows you to stand all day and not have leg pain? This is just a great shoe. In addition…

It's been 2 weeks and the shoes are out of order.

Received these boots 5.10, started wearing Monday 9.10. It's Friday October 20th and the boots are already in the trash. The seam where the "rubber" coating meets the skin is already torn. I thought they were leather boots with a rubber coating on the leather, but they aren't. "Elastic band" is a separate part and is sewn to the leather upper. The seams in this seam are what came apart. The boot is no longer waterproof because the seam rupture is a long way down the boot. You can walk around…

  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

So I had to persuade my husband to buy these boots. He works as an electrician for a well company and is on his feet all day and his feet often get wet which makes his socks wet and I hate washing them. So I spent a few days researching this and all other recommended brands. After I showed him the boots a third time and told him I would buy them anyway, he relented. You are WORTH every penny. After the first week he said these were the most comfortable work boots he had ever worn and they were…

Comfort For men fit for uniform, work and safety

As always these Timberland boots are comfortable from the minute you take them out of the box which is why I love Timberland boots so much. However, these were the first ones I ordered in this form, with rubber toes. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because I can be a bit harsh, but I'm a supervisor/planner at work so almost all the abuse my boots take is related to walking, but I was a bit disappointed with this set, the boots cause a proper tear at the rubber front of the boot where it…

Started promising.

Updated 4/13/17. The waterproofing of the boot has broken due to tears on the sides of the boot near the toes. It doesn't seem possible to keep the boots dry and they are very uncomfortable now. In fact, there are also holes in the insole, making them even more uncomfortable. Not happy they lasted less than a year. The rubber piece on the front comes off leaving no other hole for water to drain through. Contacting Timberland for a warranty replacement. These are by far the best boots I have…
