Received these boots 5.10, started wearing Monday 9.10. It's Friday October 20th and the boots are already in the trash. The seam where the "rubber" coating meets the skin is already torn. I thought they were leather boots with a rubber coating on the leather, but they aren't. "Elastic band" is a separate part and is sewn to the leather upper. As always these Timberland boots are comfortable from the minute you take them out of the box which is why I love Timberland boots so much. Updated 4/13/17. The waterproofing of the boot has broken due to tears on the sides of the boot near the toes. It doesn't seem possible to keep the boots dry and they are very uncomfortable now. In fact, there are also holes in the insole, making them even more uncomfortable. Not happy they lasted less than a year.
