Small size. I wear a waist size 6/28 and the average size is too small. I think if I add another hole it might work but I'm very disappointed.

Don't decide based on size. These belts must be incredibly small or designed for juniors. I ordered a large and it barely touched my waist. I ordered XL and it seemed to be the exact same size. It also barely touched my waist. I wear jeans with a 31 waist and am incredibly confused by the sizing of this belt. I am returning both.

I loved it. The size is totally wrong. Works very little. Very disappointed. The back of the belt is really rough. Doesn't go through loops easily. I do not recommend. I will try to contact the company. I bought this because of the recognizability of the Timberland name and trusting the brand. Again very disappointed. Very difficult to return. The bag was broken and I live in the country.

Very good quality leather for such a price but I was very disappointed when I ordered a small one and the size description disappeared and it was very small! I'm a little girl, size 2-4 in pants and the belt barely wraps around the waist. The only reason I order a different size is because I can't find one in town that I like for a similar price, but it sucks, I had to pay to send it back.

Very surprised by the quality "Eh" of this belt given the Timberland name. I'm currently buying three belts - all large - from three different manufacturers and this is the only one that doesn't fit. I can't even get to the first hole in my belt. The other two manufacturers not only fit, but also give me the option to go up (I hope not) or down an inch or two. Given the size and the "average at best" quality I will not be ordering from Timberland again.

I like the quality, width and color of this belt. Unfortunately the small one was sold out and I took the only size available and then took it to a shoemaker who punched a few extra holes in the belt for me to wear. They didn't charge me and it only took 10 seconds to add the holes, so at least it's relatively easy to get the larger size working. I would say find a shoemaker to add holes, don't try this at home!
