I was very disappointed with these beads. Firstly the description says the beads are glass but they are plastic. The quality is pretty bad, when I tried to use them the paint kept peeling off and some of them stuck together. The size is not uniform either. Some less, some more. To be honest the only reason I gave them one star is because of the beautiful colours.

These beads are really pretty but have an unpleasant chemical odor that doesn't go away after the beads are left to air for a few days. I noticed this immediately when I opened one of the pearl packages. I thought the smell would go away so I put all the different colors in small containers and left out the lids which really smelled but that didn't help.

Pros: They arrived color wrapped with no damage. The colors are pleasant, with a slight pearlescent sheen. Cons: Some holes have been partially or fully covered by the two paints I've opened so far. The open hole beads were surprisingly small for the size of the bead. I could not thread a #5 tatting needle and I could only thread one bead on a #7/0.85mm hook at a time. Attempts to remove excess paint or whatever was covering some of the holes ended in a broken bead. Conclusion: Not for tatting,
