Tamper protection not properly implemented. If you have to use that much force on the outlet to insert and remove the plugs, you'll end up misaligning the wiring in the outlet - these kinds of improvements in electrical safety are actually backwards in this regard and could lead to a whole new one lead wave. hidden wiring problems. Be careful with the screws provided as they can be easily damaged

Installed today and found the test lamp doesn't work at all which I've tried every way I can but no luck. Thank goodness it still has power when I plug in dry hair. When trying to assemble, I have another problem with cheaply made screws, as my screwdriver will damage the screws when attempting to assemble. I have no issues with seams made in the USA. After these two problems, I have to decide to get one locally at a home camp that will solve my problem. Hopefully they can improve quality…

Looks like a high quality GFCI socket

Looks like a high quality GFCI socket but I must have a broken one. One of the screws holding the white wire didn't tighten the plate inside. The screw just turned freely even though it was connected to the plate on the inside. The other screws properly tightened the plate connecting the other power and ground wires. Of course, if one doesn't work then it's all useless, hence the one star rating. I ended up paying twice as much for a similar outlet from another manufacturer at my local big…
