Strangely this version doesn't work even though the old version of these cables worked with Android Auto in my Volkswagen. The phone sees the car but tells me it can't connect to that wire, and my car's stereo doesn't give me any indication that it can see my phone at all. Given that this is one of the three main uses for this cable, I regret going with them, although otherwise they seem to be really good cables.
