Great price, great quality

Even on the rafters these lights are sooo flat, easy to install and flush like they should. Used a 4" and 1/4" hole saw and stood up with ease. With their help, I've remodeled my own home and installed them in countless homes that I connect day in and day out. I've never had a single rejection. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • There are nuances

Excellent equipment: Electric

When renovating the basement, we opted for an open ceiling concept. We first wanted to have lots of light to illuminate the room when I came across these lights. In combination with the Torchstar New Construction mounting plates it was the right decision. After connecting to the supplied junction box, the light is connected and fixed directly inside. These beautiful lights are dimmable, adding the perfect amount of light to the room.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Great quality for the price!

I work as a contractor and I constantly install these lights for my clients, I have them at home too! I chose TorchStar because the price and quality are great! I will never buy another brand again! FYI I always buy 3000k because it looks like traditional can lamps! (Halogen) They're only 1/2 inch thick, so they can be installed in almost any layout, regardless of drywall, joist, or floor wire placement!

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Good but not great

Very easy to install and looks great!

This is my second set of thin Torchstar lamps. I bought this 4 pack for my son's bedroom. Easy to install, simply use a template to cut a hole, match the colors of the wires on your Romex, secure, close the box and lift, bend the spring clips and place the light in the hole. If I MUST find a minus it would be that sometimes when using the 12-2 wiring and the light in the middle of the barrel the box seems a bit small and if you don't clamp everything just right the door will open. It would also

Pros
  • 💡Durable Design: Unique waterproof plugs and sockets make it ideal for use in wet areas. The IC value allows this lamp to touch the insulation, so you don't have to worry about overheating and burning.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Not as good as expected for Torchstar

A few years ago I discovered Torchstar downlights during a small renovation project. On my current project I bought the Jullison brand to save a few bucks but the audible "buzz" inspired me to return them and buy Torchstar products because of the good experience I had and the dimming range ( supposedly) only is 5 units. % (most boring to 10%). Unfortunately the quality was not what I had experienced with previous Torchstar purchases. Some issues, but being a basic product I couldn't help but…

Pros
  • 💡Ultra-Thin Lighting: This ultra-thin LED downlight only takes up 2 inches of ceiling space, perfect for ceilings that don't fit in the housing. Metal spring clips hold the light in place, making installation easy and ensuring long life.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
