Description of ๐Ÿ‘ถ Adjustable Tortle Air Lightweight Newborn Beanie for Flat Head Syndrome Prevention

PREVENT FLAT SPOTS: Tortle is the low-cost, active solution to an epidemic among infants โ€” flat head syndrome. This breathable repositioning beanie is designed to help prevent flat head syndrome from developing and creating other medical problems. This device expertly provides your baby with repositioning care and support so that they will have the best chance of healthy development. FOR NEWBORNS: Newborn babies heads are soft, making it easy for them to develop flat head syndrome. This beanie is designed to gently deflect your babies head to different positions to prevent flat head. The single layer construction is highly breathable, which helps prevent overheating. The beanie is our smallest โ€” designed for infants with a 13โ€ โ€“ 15โ€ head circumference (birth to 2 months). REPOSITIONING TECHNIQUES: There are a variety of repositioning techniques you can use along with this beanie to maintain a good head shape. For quicker results, consider alternating where you place your babies head each night. You can also move their crib to different parts of the room. Placing a mobile in different places on and around the crib discourages remaining in the same position. TORTLE: As a mother and a doctor, Tortleโ€™s creator, Dr. Jane Scott, knows that new parents have enough to worry about โ€” Dr. Jane herself is a mother of four! She knows first-hand the fear that permeates the parenting experience, which is why she set out to design a device that would help relieve some new-parent worry and promote health and wellbeing in new babies.

Unnecessary purchase

My newborn hates this and starts crying every time I put it on. I even increased the size to see if that makes it more comfortable, but the same problem. Don't buy them if your newborn hates wearing hats as this can be an expensive purchase that can easily be corrected in the long run with a head-shaping pillow and more tummy time.

Pros
  • I keep my fists
Cons
  • empty

Size not suitable for decor

Disappointment. The specs say this cap fits a 13-15 inch head, my son's head is 11 inches and too small. The hat came with a tag saying it would take a weight of up to 4.5kg - that would have been good to know before ordering as it weighs 11lbs. Now I have to wait over a week to get the next size up and am wasting valuable time fixing his torticollis.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Poor set

how should he continue to cover.

air does not suit us. It seems too short like it needs to go further down to cover the ears. We even got a bigger size and it still slips off his head when he moves. We chose an air tortle over a plain tortle because the elastic straps are adjustable, but I'm wondering if a plain tortle would suit me better as it looks longer where it could be stretched further.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
