Never thought packaging could be 'loud'

The setout pack is annoyingly loud, sounds like grocery bags shrink with every movement. The backpack itself looks decent quality, the strap and padding on the back will probably breathe well and I love that it has a sternum strap. Unfortunately I will be sending it back because of the volume.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • No insurance

Keep searching for your perfect everyday backpack

I really like Tortuga. I have a 45 liter jackhammer and a Setout Divide. In theory, this backpack looked perfect. I needed something very light and small (I had an 8kg carry-on limit) that I could use once in the country for everything including hiking. However, this backpack was a big disappointment. The material is ridiculously loud, the chest strap was too long to be usable and too uncomfortable to carry enough water for a day of hiking. I am back

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not bad

Great packable backpack for under $40

I've done a few backpacking trips but I don't like carrying my huge Thule 34L for quick day trips so I was looking for a packable backpack. PROS: light weight and backpacks are small - chest strap helps carry heavier loads - back has padding which gives the bag some structure - clean and simple design with nice tortilla logo - 2 useful water bottle pockets CONS: - feels thin, interesting, not if the bag tears the heavy contents. The material makes a durable impression - the padding of the belt…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic
