This lid is ok at best once you know its limitations.With the weight of water in the bottle the lid is prone to opening if holding by a carbineer even when fully latched closed. Perhaps its not designed for this but even as such the lid does not close as reliably as a normal Nalgene cap. It came open in my daughters backpack also. I love Nalgene bottles but I hate having to take off the cap every time to drink. These fit the top 32oz Nalgene bottles perfect. Easy to use and washes up great.

Purchase as a replacement for a bottle standard cab, which is incredibly difficult to use. I purchased this as well as another option of another brand, and while I like this one, it doesn’t seem to have the durability to hold up over the long run as much as expected.

these caps are great. they have a little locking metal tab that keeps the. bottle tightly closed. I don't worry about it getting unhinged in my bag.
