Better normal cable replaces

Our dog chewed through the original Dell Inspiron 15 AC adapter power cord. We ordered this replacement cord and found it to be more durable than the original. This cable is a heavier standard AC cable. It looks like the original is a three-wire travel cable that's been made lighter. We prefer this one as this laptop is primarily used at home.

Works as expected to replace HP cable

Works as expected to replace lost HP laptop cable. Fits and successfully charges the laptop. As shown, this is only the bottom of the plug that goes into the wall, NOT the top that fits into the laptop. If you lost all of these, you will have to buy two pieces. For me exactly what I needed because the lower part got lost when moving.

Not happy with this block or brand. A short circuit nearly started a fire.

We bought this to replace our daughter's laptop power supply. That worked quite well at first. After a few months of use, minor problems such as power outages began to appear. A few months later it was lying on her bed while she was using her laptop and the device spontaneously started shorting out and sparking. Her bed almost caught fire, but we were quick enough to stop it. Factor that caused problems.

Not perfect but works well

This was a replacement for a Lenovo AC adapter. I like the extra length and the cable works. I took off a star because the Mickey Mouse end doesn't fit into the socket as tightly as the OEM connector, meaning I have to periodically check to make sure it's actually connected. The Mickey Mouse connector comes out of the power adapter, the tip of which I heated with a propane torch and pressed against a hard surface to slightly curve the perimeter. It's holding up fine now.
