I like the quick release buckle but will see how long it lasts. I moved the clip part to the middle of the board. I didn't like that it was like that on one end, it was uncomfortable. I drilled a hole in the center and tapered the hole. I also loosened the edges of the board so they wouldn't cut into my feet with a small hand plane I got from Lie Nielsen Tools. Love this clip. Works exactly as I hoped it would and saves me from arm cramps. However the picture clearly shows it is disassembled with a wing nut and bolt which is NOT what you get. It already has one screw (not a wing nut), and when I looked at it, I immediately thought: There aren't enough parts. I will not mess with it and spoil the possibility of a return. So I sent it back for exchange. The replacement was again missing the wing nut and screw and then I figured I should just take out…

For the most part I just bought this because it would be easier to spend $22 than spend time building it. I didn't expect much from him and it's not surprising that he's not very reliable. The clamping mechanism works normally, but the clamping action is uneven. The side closest to me holds the piece of skin much tighter than the other side. The other side usually slips. Tightening the clamp doesn't help as the bumps are still there. I'm afraid of over tightening for fear of pulling the screws…
