Installs on the wall of our RV TV powered by USB Lightning cable with the remote control so it is always charged. The Apple TV remote slides in and hooks onto the cable perfectly. Simple and good product.

Place the heat gun on the gray insert so that only the tip is visible above the top edge of the retaining clip, i.e. the underside of the remote with the Elago R2 Slim case slides backwards to easily get into Lightning connector (bar, oops).

Mount works as expected. The reason I only gave it a 3 is not because of the mount itself but because of the remote control. I've found that the Apple TV turns on if I'm not very careful in inserting or removing the remote from the cradle. The mount itself works perfectly.

Nice little holder but I don't use it. Why do you ask? I thought it came as a charging cradle, the charger is included. Little did I know you had to use your existing charging cable and run it through. I figured it would be a simple fork and slide plus a stand. It's probably my fault for not reading the description carefully; but I wouldn't know. I didn't return or read the description after I received it because it was cheap enough not to worry about disappointment.

The mount works great BUT if you have a case on the remote to protect it you cannot use the case with the remote holder at the same time. .Remote in protective case just won't let you put the remote in the holder....Sad news because my protective case is very important because it was the second remote control I bought because my kids broke the first remote control, but since we got the protective case everything has been fine…. I bought this product and paid an additional $10 (compared to other similar products) because the pictures led me to believe that this product has a built-in Lightning cable. However, I enthusiastically opened the product and to my disappointment found that it was just a plastic mold with a hole for your own lightning cable. Save the extra $10 and buy the cheaper one. At least in others, they make it clear that they're just plastic and don't imply they contain charging components for the Apple…
