Perfect Hole Punch for Tack Making

When I tried this tough and reliable hole punch, I was impressed with how easy it was to use. The rotating wheel made punching through tough leather a breeze. It's a great addition to my pet supplies for the horse stable. The only downside was that the grip can be a bit slippery at times, but overall it's a small issue compared to how well it works.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • Difficult to use for beginners due to lack of instructions

Broke after a short use

I had this leather punch for about 4 months. Used several times, probably made about 10 holes in it. Punch tools no longer align with the striker plate, resulting in newly punched holes being cut at an angle and the hole being punched at all. I used a puncher on leather straps on a horse's bridle.

Pros
  • 6 standard size tubes
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good leverage/very bad blade alignment

This is a very robust design for a leather/heavy material punch. In this case the locking cutouts in the rotating hub are cut about half the diameter of the hole beyond the true 90 degrees and coincide with the cutting tubes. In short, once you choose the size of hole you want to cut and snap the spring lock into the locking hole in the hub, aligning the tube with the brass anvil will only cut about half the hole you chose. Good design, bad production.

Pros
  • Hardened steel spinning wheel
Cons
  • poorly thought out
