Works perfectly. suitable for engine cooling and air conditioning

The right thing for a 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. What can I say? This job is not for the faint of heart! I have no idea what those engineers were thinking when designing this engine. No, not on top, easily accessible, but UNDER the transducer, and after you take it off, it's still not an easy place. where the thermostat is installed. Tip: Cover the bushing with a piece of paper, press down on the nut and the nut will not fall out when you put the nuts back on the thermostat housing. What a…

Works like a thermostat

Works like a thermostat. I would recommend always keeping that in mind when purchasing. You don't want to go to great lengths to replace any of them, especially when you have to remove the alternator and serpentine belt like I did, only to find it doesn't work. You test the thermometer in a pot of boiling water, it should be open or fully open at around 85 degrees. Opens slowly, not super fast. Check youtube. After many big headaches and wasting a lot of time trying to "burp" the system, I finally had to remove it and drill a small bypass hole to allow air to escape. Bleed straight away and works fine now but unfortunately I'm sure what I did wasn't a long term solution on modern cars and the right move is to replace. I would just buy $5 at O'Riley's if I knew I was going through all this hassle. EDIT (2/15/17) A…

Working, minus 1 star for gasket not included

Replaces thermostat on Camry SE 4-cyl. 2012 (AR2FE engine) with 130,000 miles. At the same time, hoses, belts and coolant were changed (a first for this car). Unfortunately, and frankly unforgivably, a thermostat gasket is NOT included (just cheating Toyota consumers). Luckily in my case the old gasket was still in good condition to be reused (I also applied AT-205 to the gasket to hopefully extend the life of the rubber gasket). The old thermostat showed signs of rust and aging. So I'm glad he
