Great idea Terribly cheap product

Really wanted. Cannot be assembled properly. You need screws, not nails. Just needs a face lift and this could be a great product. Whoever designed this has never assembled anything in their life. If you have a chance, pass it on.

Pros
  • Solid workmanship
Cons
  • Reliability

Cheap, falling apart, poorly made

This is junk. We do a lot of these wood projects at Home Depot. We got it to bridge the time at home. Every nail we pounded into another fell out. A piece of wood was hollowed out and no nail could hold it in place. Very poor quality but it was the cheapest option so guess we got what we paid for.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Cute Spring Project

I ordered 2 of these, one for each of my children and one birdhouse was great quality, the other had cracks and a broken nail. We have been working with one on issues but for the money we paid it would be nice to have 2 of the same quality. We used different colors and the kids love their new houses. Would recommend to more friends.

  • Easy Installation

The granddaughter was disappointed.

Today my 9 year old granddaughter called to write down her complaints about this item: the holes don't match, when one nail meets the other the nails fall out, there is no point in making a guide, gluing does not work. Her mother [my daughter] adds that it is not safe for children under the age of 9, although it says 5+. For the record, my 9 year old granddaughter is very good at DIY projects and has never called me to express her dissatisfaction with any of the other items I have ordered for…

Fun for a few hours

Bought while I'm staying home to do something. The first package was lost on the way, but the second was sent free of charge. When the second arrived, the package was obviously open, slightly wrinkled and taped down. I was careful but all the parts were there. I spent a few hours assembling and painting when I really liked it. I had problems with the roof and the chain, but everything worked, although it's a little crooked. I'm thrilled and would buy it again despite some flaws.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Don't remember

This is it: Art Kits

Bought this and a similar bird feeder as a project for my grandchildren aged 5 and 8. I held the parts while they sprayed glue, hammered in nails, and painted. No assembly problems or missing or defective parts. A bit small so it's a bit doubtful the birds would actually use them, but we hung them outside anyway. I doubt they will last long in inclement weather if left outside. If you are looking for a fun project of a few hours for limited kids, this will fill the bill and leave them a sense…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Holes mismatch, brush and paint are mediocre

Bought this for my kids and then worked up a sweat putting it together myself. With a degree lol. The problem was that a couple of the nail holes didn't line up, so we had to rely on wood glue to hold the sides together. The manual also says to nail the roof at a 45 degree angle. Angles, but they actually mean 90 degrees (not that much, but oh well). White color is almost invisible even after several coats. The brush is a joke, you can't even draw a simple shape with it, let alone a butterfly…

Pros
  • High score for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to tell

But a better bird house is not!

I'm having some trouble with the directions. Why insert the hook after assembling the front panel only to crush and break the hook trying to hammer the back panel? Bad guide. Also when "screwing in" the hook - it doesn't screw in, it just slides in with no support, allowing the chain to hang, so now I'm not sure how we can even hang this. Also, the holes didn't all line up and this caused us to split the wood a bit because we were using the hole, but it split the other part. Also, the roof was…

Good size - cheaply made

My current pollinator house was pretty full and can't be pulled out of parts for cleaning/replacing so I decided to buy another one with that capability. very excited when this came in the mail but upon opening it was already broken. So the girth is in two parts and is held together with small wooden handles and an elastic thread running around the handles. One of the handles was broken but it didn't look like it was put together very well as it was just glued on. Not quite sure if the…
