Stay away - 9 month failure and you pay shipping for a replacement

Lamp worked great for 9 months then failed. Two of the four LED "filaments" stopped glowing completely, while the other two glowed very dimly. "It's good that there's a 2-year guarantee," I thought. So I contacted TP-Link to file a claim, which consisted of answering a long list of questions, turning the lightbulb on and off 10 times, filming a video of the error and emailing it to TP-Link send, answer more questions and register the bulb and finally get an RMA number. Requiring connectivity through the Kasa app grants users access to the insecure Kasa network! Was hacked!

BUYER ATTENTION: Yes, this can be toggled on/off, but you will need to download your Kasa app to install your device. The problem is that the Kasa app requires you to leave your secure home network and connect to their insecure internet! At this point, your connection falls freely into the world of cyberspace. Every device I've bought from them has to be wired this way. In my situation, this insecure network connection resulted in a massive internet hack on my home network! Trying to bridge…

I liked these lightbulbs. before one died

I was looking for an attractive bulb for two identical hurricane style bulbs with partially clear glass domes. Since the bulbs were partially exposed, I wanted something more eye-catching than a regular bulb. I have smart lightbulbs all over my house that connect to a SmartThings hub, and I wanted the lightbulbs to be compatible with that system (and they are, although no hub is needed because they're WiFi). Finally there's a soft white Edison-style lightbulb with smart controls.

Finally! Someone made a soft white Edison lightbulb. I have a couple of Phillips tinted lamps but I wanted them to look vintage so they were a soft white instead of the amber glow in one of my ceiling lights. The switch that controls the light does not have a neutral wire in the junction box. So I couldn't set a smart switch to turn it on and off. I know these aren't exactly old oblong Edison bulbs or amber glass. But honestly, if you don't look, you won't notice the difference. Works great…
