The stool is fine. The instructions were very poor and did not help to assemble the stool. it is together A good stool for the money but not easy to assemble with instructions

I ordered this stool to use as a lectern stool in my office study. The instructions for assembling the base were good until we got to the pillow and it just stopped. We sat looking at the screws and parts that attach the pillow to the base and realized we were on our own the rest of the way. So this stool had to be brought home to help my husband finish his drill press. The lack of instructions is fine for experienced toolmakers, but a bit tricky for the rest of us.

I looked at many websites before purchasing two of these bar stools. I wanted something simple, medium quality, durable and relatively inexpensive. I chose these stools and am very happy with the purchase. While not of commercial quality, they are certainly good enough for home use (I have a bar in my basement). And they appear to be commercial grade; Your guests won't be able to tell them apart from those in the local bar. I highly recommend this product.

Previous reviews are misleading. The quality is terrible for an American $80 stool. The simple task of attaching a cardboard cover to the underside of the seat cushion was not done correctly, so only one hole fit. The cardboard had to be cut by three more. The photos show that this is done by hand in the factory. Who would staple the cover if the holes didn't line up? Two of the rings have bumps where they are welded and the chrome is of poor quality.
