This is not a badger hair brush. Cut off the "hair" and it melts and smells like plastic. The flame ends up creating a molten plastic ball that won't fit in the hair. The brush shines like a synthetic brush. Ultimately, I have no issue with the $12.99 plastic bowl and synthetic brush. I have problems with scammers and completely false advertising. So remember, you always get what you pay for. If the seller comes back and swears it's a badger, he just keeps lying.

well it's too big for it's purpose unless you shave your whole body. The shell is very plastic, I was hoping for something with some thickness. The brush looks like plastic and not as advertised. Should be cheaper for low quality. Thought about returning but it's a gift and I'm disappointed with the quality but can't afford to replace it with a $35 set.

The plastic is much thinner than I thought from the photos. But it does its job well. The brush is junk if you ever use a brush with thicker bristles such as B. wild boar hair used. It's ok as I wanted this mug anyway and although I have another double wall stainless steel mug I've found myself using this mug more often. The stainless steel holds the temperature longer, but I really like the grip on this thing. I can look for a similar style but made of porcelain instead of ABS.

Overall this is a good product. The brush looks high quality. Bought to replace a ceramic shaving mug that was lost when moving house. This mug is made of plastic and is lighter than my old ceramic mug. I preferred my ceramic mug to the plastic mug, but that's a deal breaker. Because it's easier, I see other people as a positive aspect.

I've been using this product for a few months now after dipping it in boiling water daily and using it fairly roughly to judge its durability there was one little brush no skinning and the shell all still looks new. UPDATE: It's been about a year and a half since I bought it, the brush is as soft as ever and the bowl has no cracks or stains. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in wet shaving on a budget.
