I usually shoot with lots of fill flash to avoid shadows, but these reflectors conquer shadows very well and offer the added benefit of different colors in the reflected light. This is a pretty decent reflector for the price. However, there are some things worth knowing. First, the black side is actually quite shiny. I've used some other 5-in-1 reflectors that have this finish mostly matte. However, this will reflect back a significant amount of light.
