Works great! They can fit into the ignition before they're cut (they just don't spin yet) so I was able to program them first and THEN cut them. I recommend this, just in case you order the wrong key you can still return it as it hasn't been cut yet.

First I would like to say that the price you pay for these chipkeys is a value. I programmed the two keys myself, I cut them to the ace hardware with no problems. I would suggest you cut them off at a locksmith or go to a hardware store. Research with programming. I saved over $200 instead of paying a Toyota dealership to cut and program the keys.

works as a standard OEM key. Before you cut the key, make sure you get the key program to save your money and time. I highly recommend cutting the key with a laser. (Call the dealer and get the key. It's not that expensive to just have the dealer make the key). An outdated key cutter from a local hardware store probably won't work. To save money and time, get your laser cut right first.

Need replacement keys for my 1999 4Runner. We had the last usable key left, and it looked fragile. We went to the local dealership where we bought the car in 1998 but the key they made didn't work. Received these blanks and cut them from a local trucking company and locksmith using the key fob number we were given when we bought a new one in 1998. There are different types of keys you can try. Everything works perfectly!

Cheaper than stealership. Bought it and had it cut and programmed by a locksmith. Works wonderfully and without any complaints. I originally went to Ace Hardware to have it cut out but they said they would change their policy. They don't cut keys brought from outside the store. I said everything was fine and I walked out. I want them to carve the keys and I like to do it myself. That's why I chose Locksmith.
