I bought this for my newborn and after the first wash the color fades and the material deforms. I was very disappointed because it's such a cute blanket but not good quality at all. The flannel is not soft, but the other side is not as soft as other similar style comforters I have purchased. If I had the original packaging I would definitely return it.

If you don't just want to use it for decoration, don't buy it. The blanket arrived and looked beautiful - UNTIL you washed it. It was horribly washed, faded, color run and there were stains on the back (white sherpa-like material)! The batting in the center of the blanket has become bulky and lumpy. I had to throw it away. What a waste of money! And as a parent, the blanket used MUST BE WASHED WELL!

We ordered this duvet when we found out we were having a boy. Now that I'm getting ready for my baby I washed this comforter to get ready and it was TERRIBLE! Fleece part and plaid part in 2 different sizes. Fleece is bigger and flops everywhere. And the blanket is not soft flannel, but synthetic. I thought it would be ok and softer after washing but now it's just a bumpy mess and I'm so sad because I can't return it now.

I bought this blanket for a gift party but was disappointed when it arrived. The duvet was generally cheap and should be in the $10 range more. The front of the plaid blanket is very scratchy and looks like Michael's 39 cent felt. The checkerboard pattern also looks very strange, it's a bunch of dots and pixels. You might also think that a "plush blanket" would be thick, but instead it's quite thin. The inner white side is softer and that is the only reason why this rating has no star.

My son has the whole laboratory of buffalo plaid trends. Any item with red is severely faded after multiple washes. Washed this blanket once and now the white plush is pink. Followed the instructions on T. Even washing hands after the first wash in ice water to maybe remove some of the red from the white, no detergent and just ice water, the sink was filled with bright red! I love this blanket! It is very soft, warm and light. As soon as I got it in the mail I washed it; I was afraid it would fade like a few of the reviews I read but it didn't fade at all after washing and drying! I washed in cold water with regular washing powder (Purex Naturals) and tumble dried on low for 20 minutes.
