Tri-Flow is my favorite lube for lubricating cables, tools, etc. These little vials are useful - you can stick a small plastic applicator in the space between the cable and the case - squirt and it's all easier .

I used this on my new 1929 Singer sewing machine. The car itself was in excellent condition but I intended to use this oil mainly for maintenance. Put that tiny tube extension on and oil all the right places. My old singer is now purring like a kitten and walking great!
