Type of review

This product has helped me extend my reach with my Oculus Quest and Party cable. Hopefully if I can find a power cord that works with this cable my Quest will be able to charge. Anyone have any recommendations? I give this product 4 stars for the lack of a power cord.

Works with Quest on cables and connectors

My setup is CableCreation Right&Left Angled 90 Degree USB 3.1 in Quest, 10ft Anker Powerline USB, Universal USB 3 to USB C Adapter (I haven't found any that do the Oculus app detects as USB 3, or maybe it's a USB-C port on my system) and eventually added that for more distance. There were no graphics issues or disconnects (which I had with the other cable) in over 10 hours of Fallout 4 VR on high graphics settings. The device doesn't have enough power to charge, but I haven't tried connecting…

Works great with Oculus Quest!

I picked up this cable to use in addition to the official Oculus Quest Link cable (32ft only) to connect a VR headset in the next room. Combined with a 3 amp 5v power supply, it has enough power to charge the quest while playing. I also tried using a shorter 10ft USB-c 3.1 cable to try it out and that worked too.

  • Satisfied so far
Cons

Only one side works

USB-C is designed so you can connect it either way, but I've found that this cable only works with my camera if it's in one direction and not in which is connected Miscellaneous. So if you're having problems, this could be the cause. When I figure it out, it works beautifully.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • I'll write later

Great cable and works for Oculus Link!

Bought this cable to work with Oculus Quest. There was only one review so I was nervous about buying it but this is a great cable and it works with Oculus Link. It doesn't come with a power cord to provide extra power, but it works without one. I'd like to charge the Quest while playing, but it does provide some power. In any case, it works and I am very satisfied!

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Slightly snapped

Works with Oculus Link

This Active Extender has been confirmed to work with Oculus Link when connected to a USB 3.2 port on my ASRock motherboard. power supply and 10ft. party cable. Only 40 feet Oculus Link with charging.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Doesn't work and support is useless

I was expecting to need a power supply for this cable but could not find a part number for the power supply. I looked at their website and couldn't find a part for the power supply so I contacted support. All I could get from them was the size of the power supply used, I couldn't even provide a part number for another supplier I might use. After purchasing a multi-plug universal power adapter, I still couldn't get it to work on my system.

Fits Oculus Quest Link

Great replacement for Oculus Quest connector cable. Just make sure you connect it properly! I almost got it back because I had it backwards. Connect the USB-C connector to the computer, at the other end there should be a cylindrical connector for power. Attach another cable at the end and you're done. Don't assume the power end should be closest to your computer like I did. It's not currently plugged into a power source so it won't charge the Quest while you play, but it's great for extending…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price
