National Holiday 5164 Steel Tree Stand, 7' - Sturdy and Reliable Christmas Tree Support Review

We have a 6 foot tall tree. I had to cut the barrel much thinner to fit this base. We have to water water 3 times a day because the base is so small. I do not recommend this plastic base to anyone. We'll get a new one as soon as possible.

The design looks as simple as it is difficult to assemble, right? Well nothing worked and after an HOUR I gave up. Remember, I'm a master at collecting everything IKEA sells. I'm sending it back for a full refund.

I kept the Christmas tree all season but it was a pain to put up. The metal holes are barely lined up properly for the screws to go through. I may not be the strongest person but I couldn't get it to work. My male roommate tried it and although he finally got it, he made an effort. In general, the materials are of good quality, but not for those who do not exercise regularly.

This tree stand is easy to assemble, but the actual process requires two people. The pieces fit very snugly so it takes a bit of effort to put them together, but I ended up feeling better about their ability to support my tree. Holds about 4 cups of water so you have to refill it every day and I don't mind. Holds my 6ft Christmas tree well :) Overall happy with this product.

Some assembly required but no tools required and assembly is very easy. The metal base at the bottom of the bowl is pretty thin. I followed the instructions for placing it on the base of the wood and used the base of my hand to "pound" the base into the wood and I was still deforming the bowl. it tips over.

This tree stand looks solid, but it isn't. We used it to set up a small 7ft tree and the four screws holding the tree in place bent the metal ring they were in and the tree fell. I ended up having to use washers to keep the bolts from moving and it seems to have worked. I also attached the stand to a round piece of plywood which seems to add a bit more stability. So I think for the price and with a bit of jury manipulation this is a pretty good product. But still only worth 1 STAR

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this tree stand! If I could give less than 1 star I would. The screws that hold the wood in place don't have washers on the ends, so they just drill through the wood without holding it in place. The small spike bar at the bottom broke off - didn't hold the tree in place either. The ring around the legs that the screws go through is thin and not solid metal, it's hollow in the center with an inner and outer wall, making it difficult to fit…
