🔌 Tripp Lite 6-ft. Null Modem Serial RS232 Cable (DB9 F/F) - Model P450-006 Review

This is a null modem, as they say, but there is no indication that this is the case. A very useful tool when you need to work with old technology.

This is a good cable. But what is most important to me, the exact pinout of the cable is given in the description. If you're connecting to an older device, this can be important. Prior to this cable, I bought a cable elsewhere that claimed to have a "standard" loop. It did not work. If there is a standard I still don't know what it is. But it does not matter. Tell me the pinout and I can see if it works for me.

I needed to connect a Digi SP1 box to a server using a 9 pin serial null modem cable - it did the job perfectly and is a great price. The cable is actually a bit thinner and more flexible than the branded one available at your local computer store/shack store, making it easier to bend corners and tuck out of the way.

Need a null modem cable to transfer data from one computer to another. I've made good use of all the Tripplite products I've used in the past. When I saw this available for my needs I knew it would work for years to come. Absolutely no problems with order, service and product. May be a bit more expensive than the competition but I'm pretty sure I can pull this cable out of my desk drawer in 10 years and it will still be working like new.

I bought this cable to use with the USB to serial converter that I bought. The USB to serial converter has a male connector and I needed the female connector to configure the Brocade FWS624G switch. This cable is perfect for this purpose.
