💡 Tripp Lite Safety Power Strip with 8 Outlets, 12ft Cord, GFCI 5-15P Plug, Hang Holes - Black & Yellow (TLM812GF) Review

Very powerful and impressive. I need this for my aquariums. The plug is a little loose near it so I'm concerned about arcing as well as ground faults that could hurt my fish or me if I'm standing on a wet bottom!

The thing is pretty violent. HA has worked great for me so far in my saltwater tank that I have my 20 gallon sump in. So far, evaporation of salt water hasn't triggered this thing. we'll see how long that lasts.

I use it to connect all the outlets in the aquarium (heater, filter, foam filter, LED lights, etc.). I needed something that would protect us from electrocution when combining water (aquarium) with electric units and this fits the bill. It's more expensive than some others, but you get what you pay for. Very good quality, well made.

Used in a humid greenhouse with 5 greenhouse lamps of 324W. It worked fine for several months, then a few times a day and then every 15 minutes after another month. Replaced it with a standard 1800w surge protector and all was good. I wouldn't buy this.

Partly my fault for not double checking. But what good is a $100 outlet if it doesn't even protect against surges. Just hope you don't get a power surge before the GFI kicks in, or the socket is useless and the tools burn out.

I use this in my garage to have GFCI protection when using power tools. I have a 3 hp, 15 amp, 120 volt, 135 psi air compressor hooked up to this unit, as well as a fluorescent table lamp, table fans, and multiple chargers with no circuit breaker or GFCI disconnect issues.
